This our new hunting dog. Ken is going to name her and he has it narrowed down to Lady or Ruth. I suggested Ruth in honor of Festus’ faithful mule on Gunsmoke (I would call her Ruthie). Aaron picked her up for us last night and he started calling her Candy. Now today he thinks we should name her Becky (for John Wayne’s daughter in McLintock).

She is such a sweety. She follows you around and when you stop she stops and either sits or lays down beside you.

She found Tessie’s bed in our bedroom. The little brown spots are from the bed, but Tessie did that before the pup got to it. Tessie is under the bed here hiding out.

Mattie’s not quite sure what to make of her. The pup was barking at Mattie trying to get her to play, but when Mattie made a move to play she flopped on floor. Kate has growled at her a few times, but she does that with all new dogs.

After a busy morning of playing in the house, these two took a nap together. Bonding time!!!
