Junk Jaunt 2022

This year for Junk Jaunt we went out a day early which meant we needed to find something to do.  We had talked about tanking but the river was too low. So I suggested Axe Throwing and Dennis lined up a tour at a Bison Ranch.

So on Thursday we were the first customers for Axe Kickers in their new location in Broken Bow. They usually do a mobile thing around the area. They had three alleys with chain link dividing them.  Everyone took their turn and I think we all had a really good time. Even Carol threw axes!

The Straight Arrow Bison Ranch was much more memorable. Unfortunately I didn’t get any pictures. The owner took us on a tour of his facility and he told us how they processed the bison. Then he took all of us, all six of us and himself in his crew cab pickup out to see the bison. Poor Nancy was the last one to get in the back seat. She ended up riding half on Todd and half on the door handle. Talking about it has made all of us laugh.

We did do some junk jaunting. Ken found an outhouse  in the Junk Jaunt book so we made a stop in Hazard too check it out. It was ‘crappy’. We didn’t get it.

We made our usual rounds, hitting Cairo, Burwell and St. Paul just to mentioned a few.
