Spring Pictures

Here are few pictures from the early spring.  Nothing special.

Brandy and McLintock having at least one scuffle a day.

Luckily we had a day with no rain and Ken was able to get the pastures fertilized.

There is a story behind this hole in the ground.  Nick, the guy that came to lay the cement in the new building and add to the cement slab that used to be the play house, found a baby turtle. Last year Ken has seen a turtle laying her eggs in this spot and they must have made it through the winter. Nick though it was pretty neat.

It’s small world . . . Ken was talking with Nick about where he lived.  He said he lived over by Pleasant Dale so Ken told him my maiden name.  He knew the Borgman’s.  He was friends with Jeff Borgman and Jeff’s wife Shannon is going to babysit their baby after its born. Ken told him that Jeff was the ring bearer in our wedding. Nick also farms Jeff and Shannon’s ground. Then Nick talked about having to go play golf.  Ken asked him where he played golf (thinking it might be in Crete because that’s where Mark plays), but Nick said he plays in Milford. Ken asked him if he knew Tony Muller.  Sure he knew Tony and Brent and he graduated with Kelsey.  Ken told him that we were Kelsey’s godparents. Oh my gosh, so many mutual acquaintances.

This is where Ken’s new shed will be.

I always look forward to the lilacs blooming.  Too bad they don’t bloom all summer long.

Ken got most of the garden tilled, but its rained so much over the past few weeks, he hasn’t been able to finish and we can’t get anything planned.
