Moving Aaron and Kalie

We were so excited when Aaron told us that he taken a job in Papillion.  That meant he and Kalie would be moving back to Nebraska.  When they were back for Christmas, they spent that Monday looking at apartments and they found one in LaVista.  We had planned to drive out to Mishawaka with our pickup to help them move but Aaron had everything planned out. He bought us airline tickets so we could fly to Chicago on January 17th.  He picked us up at the airport and we spent that afternoon helping them finish packing and loading the Budget truck.  Two of Aaron’s friends, Mike and Mark, also came to help . . . and they really did help. We got most everything loaded except the air mattresses, the refrigerator items and their plants.

I took my camera but forgot to take pictures until we were almost done.

We went to church Saturday night a beautiful old church called St. Monica’s. Then we met Mike and Mark at Scotty’s Brew House for supper.  Very good food.  Sunday morning we got up early and finished loading the cars and the truck.  The snow was melting on Saturday and it was getting colder Sunday morning so we wanted to get on the road asap. I drove Kalie’s car, she drove their new Rav4 and Aaron and Ken took the truck.  Thankfully we didn’t have any problems on the road. Ken did see an eagle when they were driving. When we got to LaVista Kalie’s family was there waiting for us.  We had the truck unloaded in no time.  When we finished we all went to Valentino’s for their buffet, compliments of Grandma Barbara.  She wanted to do something to help so she came up with the idea that she would provide the meal.  She gave me a list of places to eat near Aaron and Kalie’s apartment, their phone numbers and addresses.

Thanks Mom!
