Minnesota trip

The middle of August we went on our Minnesota fishing trip with Mark and Chris.

We had a great time.  This year, Cory, who owns the Wee Villa Resort where we stay, decided to have a trash fish contest. Trash fish are bullhead, buffalo and dog fish.  Mark and Chris were a team and Ken and I were also a team.  As a part of the contest, everyone had to stop fishing every 45 minutes and find Cory on his pontoon and take a shot of schnapps or vodka. The first shot was chili vodka – yuk!!! Chris smelled it and just couldn’t drink it so Mark had to drink it for her.  The second shot was butterscotch schnapps, which I really didn’t care for so Ken had to drink mine. The 3rd shot was chocolate schnapps and it was very good. Tasted kind of like a mudslide.  The last shot was Apple Pie (not sure if it was vodka or schnapps).

This is Cory’s pontoon. The old guy on the right is Chris’s dad, Otto. The guy behind Otto, in the wheelchair, is Cory.

The weather was pretty chill and windy for the contest, but we still had a great time.

Here are the winners.  Mark and Chris got 1st place, they caught 25.  We got 2nd place with 17 bullhead.

A total of 50 bullhead were caught.

Unfortunately we were catching bullheads before and after the tournament.
