Cattle Roundup

Jim called us again this year and asked if we’d like to come out and help roundup cattle. No visit to the Gragg Ranch is complete without a trip out to the pastures to see the horses, buffalo, Frank and Casper. This is Jim and Deb. The horse is Joe. (Deb is from Michigan and is just visiting her daughter who lives around there.)

This is Ken feeding Casper.

Jim got a new St. Bernard pup to replace Bruno. This is Charlie.
Anyone who has stayed at the ranch knows that Jim gets up early . . . real early in the morning. When we were there, he was up by 4:00 a.m., got the horses saddled and came back in to the house so we could all play a game of cards.
This is Patch. Jim and Judy have been working with him to be a cattle herding dog.

The short guy on the right is the brand inspector. They are running the cattle by him so he can check the brands.

This is Jim and Ken – there getting ready to start loading the cattle.
