Fall Kittens

Priss had 4 kittens back in August or late July.  They are the cutest ones yet.  She had them in the haystack in the hay shed and we couldn’t find them.  But eventually she moved them to the wood pile.  This is a great place for them.  There are lots of places to hide, with spools of barbed wire around to keep other animals, sometimes our dogs, from getting them. Sometimes I wish there were two of me.  One that could sit on the ground near them and gain their trust.  They need to be people friendly.  The other one of me would continue to work with Brandy and loading her in the trailer.  Working with animals takes a lot of time and  patience and they can sense when you’re trying to rush things..  As the old guy (Jack) on Heartland says, “if you go at it like you have 15 minutes it will take all day.  If you go at like you have all day, it will take 15 minutes.” Guess that applies to all things in life, not just animals:)

This one we named Danger. She a very pretty calico.

We have three girls and one boy.  The all yellow one is the boy. The black and white one, Ken wanted to name spot.  The white and yellow one has a ring-tail like a racoon so Ken suggested we call him Rory. Still trying to figure out a name for the all yellow kitten.  Probably doesn’t matter much since most of them will be finding new homes and new names.
